New Job
Life August 21st, 2007I got a new job. I have been working at several big companies such as Siemens AG, BMW AG and ERM GmbH. Though I did the IT job, but none of them is a ‘pure’ IT company. Now I got an offer to join an IT company which is also one of the biggest solution provider in Europe. Actually, I got many offers, but this company attracted me the most.

@Bima: I can say for sure, practical experience is the most important one. During my interview phase (I got about 20 interviews by various firms), every interviewer asked about my projects by BMW and ERM GmbH, since they were the recent ones. But not, in fact only few of them asked about my GPA. They were more interested about projects I’ve done (also those during my study time), since quality among German universites is (almost) equal. I strongly recommend that you should go looking for a challenging and interesting internship topics to complete.
For German knowledge, you don’t have to speak perfect German. But basic until intermediate understanding and verbalizing in German is a must. As I said in this entry, fluency in German will help you a lot to make you comfortable in Germany.

Hi Wilson. There will be a long tips and tricks I could give you. Maybe it would be enough for a new blog entry
As far as I know, 3-D Animators are also required in Germany, especially those connected with CAD/CAM area. When I was in BMW I’ve seen a lot of CAD/CAM vacancies because they were going to open a new production factory in Leipzig. Just see the vacancies at BMW’s website. Hope to help and good luck!
